One Year Reminisce: Where am I Now?

Exactly one year ago to date, my roommates and I moved onto campus early to get a head start on senior year.

Today is also my grandmother’s birthday! Happy Birthday!

I thought this day would break me; the anniversary of something that once was; the last fresh start with little responsibilities, of which we will never get again.

Honestly, I didn’t care that much.

It was so recent, and I’ve been making an effort to keep in touch with most. Do I miss it like crazy? Of course I do! I will never have a community like that again. But I’ve been trying to distract myself from the sadness of it all since graduation by getting excited about what comes next. And now I am really, really excited.

While I still have lots to learn about social media and marketing, Vogue customer service is sick of my phone calls, I’ve been hired by three scam hiring managers trying to hack my bank account, my crush only sends me text messages every so often, and the New York Post just rejected me for the fourth position I’ve applied for- that small corner of bugs is just looking like possibilities ahead.

Look at the bright side, my favorite magazine is sending issues with my name on it to two different states, “no” means “not yet” with the newspaper hiring, these scam hires will get their asses kicked, and my crush is secretly obsessed with me and simply just doesn’t know it yet.

Exactly one year ago to date, I had quite the detailed spreadsheet of the next ten months and now I have nearly a myriad of tomorrow. It’s scary, yes, but anything can happen. When something does happen, I can assure you, ‘twill be fabulous.
